Hon. Justice Katureebe (CJ) and Hon. Justice Dr Bamwine at the Judicial Leadership Workshop
CAPE TOWN: The Hon the Chief Justice, Hon.Justice Bart M. Katureebe, and the Hon. the Principal Judge, Hon. Dr. Yorokamu Bamwine, are taking part in a week-long Judicial Leaders Retreat in Cape Town,South Africa.
The Retreat has brought together chief justices and other heads of the Judiciary to explore how to improve Judiciaries across the continent.
The heads of the African Judiciaries are being tipped on Judicial Appointments/Accountability, Loneliness of Leadership, Judicial Wellness, among other aspects.
Facilitators at the retreat include; Prof. Hugh Corder, Malawian Chief Justice, Hon. Justice Andrew Nyirenda, Hon. Dame Linda Dobbs DBE among others.
In bid to improve the administration of justice and leadership in Judiciaries, the Institute in partnership with the University of Cape Town equally organize core skills courses for newly appointed judges.
This year, Ugandan judges Hon. Justice Dr. Joseph Murangira and HW Alexandria Nkonge Rugadya also took part.
